Marriage at Mallory CourtThis year is one for exploring new venues for me; my couple had chosen Mallory Court as their wedding venue and with a period building and listed gardens, to 'play' with photographically and a friendly team of staff - I was in my element. The bride opted for a very quiet bridal prep with mom, best friend and flower girl Izzy with minimal pictures, but because most children who are included in the bridal party are bouncing off the walls with excitement, I couldn't resist grabbing one of Izzy's unique and completely unfazed approach to her role! Although the day started off slightly damp and we were dodging (not always successfully) rain showers for the couple shots in the beautiful gardens, after the emotional speeches at the wedding breakfast we were rewarded by an afternoon and evening of sunshine and the planned garden games came out again under somewhat better conditions, along with the magician being moved from the 'Knight's suite' to entertaining guests 'al fresco'. As the light faded, everyone moved into the Knight's suite for an evening of dancing, bringing to an end a much anticipated day filled with love.
