Hello 2021!

Well it is safe to say that 2020 was the most challenging year for Emotive Imagery to date.  After an early start (our first wedding was 2nd January), the wedding landscape rapidly changed and resulted in a complete diary reshuffle as I worked with all of my fabulous couples to re-schedule wedding dates for as far forward as 2023 so that they could still celebrate with all of their family and friends.  Whilst each postponement was desperately sad, the decision to do so removed the stress over what may or may not be allowed throughout the year and with a raft of fabulous suppliers all pulling together to accommodate changes, meant that couples could 'write off' 2020 and start planning again in earnest from 2021.

With a distinct lack of weddings and reduced commercial bookings I used my time to enter photographic body competitions, won the 'open' category of the annual West Midlands Regional Master Photographer's Association, secure my wedding Licentiate with the MPA, concentrate on improving/learning new photography and editing styles/techniques and have had a chance to create 'personal interest' images that I wouldn't normally have time for.  So, although it has been a weird year working with only a handful of people (in between lockdowns we squeezed in a few outdoor family shoots), the cameras have been busy with other things but are itching to get back to weddings very soon!

I must also say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me/us over this period through shares and likes on social media, future bookings and gift voucher purchases and I/we look forward to seeing you again very soon!  Here is hoping that 2021 is a happy and safe one for you all.

I still have some weddings that I haven't got around to posting and so will get on with it very soon, but in the meantime enjoy some pre- and post lockdown (subject to Covid-safe procedures) people-shots, and non-people lockdown shots.
