'A wet walk home' achieved a Silver award from the Guild of PhotographersIt has been a while since posting any images from a shoot with our grandson, Jack - and to be honest, it has been a while since we have done one with him. However, with a bit more time on my hands, I have been editing images I hadn't got around to looking at and found one from a rather wet visit with friends to the Black Country Museum. Because of the weather the place was almost deserted (bonus for us), so after chomping through a portion of fish and chips and having asked to wear his vintage suit, Jack had a great time pottering around the museum and was more than happy to mosey up the high street (despite the rain) as the museum staff were heading for home - an ideal shot. I wanted a fine art feel to the image and so after some toning tweaks and adding a texture in photoshop, that was it. The image was submitted to The Guild of Photographers in April and I have just received a notification that it has been awarded a Silver Bar. Obviously all down to Jack's posing.......
