Wedding Images

maxine@emotive-imagery.co.uk (Emotive Imagery) — Sat, 25 Feb 2023 09:33:54 GMT

]]>They say a picture speaks a thousand words and so I am not going to bore you with my history or tell you how special your wedding day will be to you because, hopefully, you will already know!

Generally, I try to provide a mixture of formal and informal shots in order to make your wedding portfolio more interesting, however this can be tailored to suit your requirements.

Please feel free to browse around the wedding images presented and I would take this opportunity to highlight that all images in the wedding galleries are the work of Emotive Imagery and are from 'real' weddings, not model or workshop sessions and so reflect what is possible in a real-life scenario, rather than under 'controlled' conditions.

I generally recommend approx. 1hr 30mins to have available for photographs following the ceremony (although this is not all photography - it builds in time for you to socialise with your guests and allow for the drinks reception, etc). The actual time spent on photography is dependant upon the style you require, how many groups you want to caputure and the scope of photography within the venue - however to ensure stylish and quality images, your photography should not be rushed. All of this is discussed in full during our meetings.

Bridal portraiture shoots are available and can either be undertaken as a separate photoshoot with studio lighting or on location (please ask for a quotation), or a reduced session can be undertaken on the day but time/location must be factored into your wedding and will mean that you have less time with your guests.

These can be taken under controlled studio conditions or on location to produce 'lifestyle' portraits.

We offer portaits taken under controlled studio conditions (particularly useful for simplified images, model portfolios, headshots or commercial images) or can factor in a 'lifestyle' feel with location shoots.

Commercial & Event

]]>They say a picture speaks a thousand words and so I am not going to bore you with my history or tell you how special/important your event/commercial photography will be to you because, hopefully, you will already know!

We not only cater for parties and celebrations, but also national and international conferences and events (large and small) and are able to offer both photography and videography services (the latter using a wealth of videography experience and 'proper' equipment - not just a photographer who thinks they can shoot video because they have the option on their camera). We do quote on hourly, half and full day rates, but can also provide bespoke quotes should your requirements not easily fit into these categories, so please get in touch to have a chat.
We can even produce short promo slideshows, capturing the images and blending them into a promo slideshow to suit your product/business - see some examples below!

Commercial product shoots over a wide range of subjects are also available.

A little bit of info.....

]]>Wedding Images
They say a picture speaks a thousand words and so I am not going to bore you with my history (suffice to say I love using my camera to create and capture beautiful memories for the future) or tell you how special your wedding day will be to you (because, hopefully, you will already know)!

I believe there are 3 things you should take into account when sourcing your wedding photographer:
1. Cost v quality - obviously your photographer's offering should fall within your budget - but think about
how much you really want/can afford to spend on your photography - do you really need that chocolate fountain for a couple of hours at your reception or would the money be better spent on a photographer offering a more comprehensive service and high quality product? Your call, but certainly something to think about.....
2. Style. Make sure the photographer's you talk to can demonstrate with their own work of real weddings that they can achieve the 'look' you are after for your wedding photos. By all means provide guidance/examples but the basis of the style should already be there if you aren't to be disappointed. Also. take a close look at the final product, whether it be digital images/prints/albums to make sure that a great style is not compromised by a poor end result.
3. 'Click' with your photographer. This is the person (other than the one you are marrying) you will be with most of your wedding day and so it matters that you not only like their photography style and the quality of their work, but you actually like them!!

I like to produce a mix of formal and informal images from your day to make your wedding portfolio more interesting. However the weighting of this is tailored to suit your style/needs in the planning meeting(s)/conversations we have in the run up to your special day.
Please feel free to browse around the wedding images on my site and note that all images are the work of Emotive Imagery and are from 'real' weddings, NOT model or workshop sessions and so reflect what is possible in a real-life scenario, rather than under 'controlled' conditions.
I generally recommend at least 1hr 30mins to have available for photographs following the ceremony (although this is not always all photography - it builds in time for you to socialise with your guests and allow for the drinks reception, etc). The actual time spent on photography is dependant upon the style you require, how many groups you want to capture and the scope of photography within the venue - however to ensure stylish and quality images, your photography should not be rushed. All of this is discussed in full during our meetings.
Bridal portraiture shoots are available and can either be undertaken as a separate photoshoot with studio lighting or on location (please ask for a quotation), or a reduced session can be undertaken on the day but time/location must be factored into your wedding but remember that you will then have less time with your guests.

With all that said, by far my most important piece of advice is - enjoy your wedding planning!

Image Sizes
Your wedding will be shot on digital SLR's (unless specified) with an aspect ratio of 3:2, as per professional photographers - although there may be a small number of images that may be cropped to a 5:4 aspect - this means that images shot with an aspect of 3:2 will NOT fit without cropping within a 7x5in print. I can provide a chart showing the print sizes that are compatible with a 3:2 apect ratio and a visual aid showing the effects of cropping an image to fit a 7x5in print so please do not hesitate to ask me to send this over to you. Alternatively, take a look at the following link on my blog:

Alan's Retirement

maxine@emotive-imagery.co.uk (Emotive Imagery) — Mon, 12 Oct 2026 00:00:00 GMT

]]>Hi Folks, apologies for the late posting but I have been snowed under with work. This is the first of the slideshows from Alan's retirement 'do'. To view please click the 1080 option at the bottom right of the window because the auto hd option reduces quality - however, quality isn't fantastic as these were grab segments, rather than me bringing the proper 'kit' to video.
Enjoy!
