Fran & Dan's 4x4 'experience' - Hadzor Church and Brockencote Hall

January 05, 2017  •  Leave a Comment

Fran and her crew took over her 'in laws' house for bridal prep and having a few younger members in her bridal party, the morning preparations quickly developed an 'excited buzz' with the lads racing around the garden to see who could get their suit dirty first - increasing the adults stress levels a tad!  In stark contrast Dan and the lads were totally chilled and discussing Land Rovers when I caught up with them at Hadzor Church and as a nod to his slight obsession, Dan arrived in an open top Land Rover, the table names at the venue were attributed to makes of the 4x4 and even the cake featured a somewhat unusual topper.

It was their minister's first ever wedding ceremony but as a slight tweak to the famous saying, 'he got all the right bits of the ceremony done, just not necessarily in the right order'.....well.......except for the hymns which he forgot altogether.......... it certainly kept us on our toes and goes to show that even after years of weddings you can always be thrown a curve ball.  Despite the slightly random order, he provided a very entertaining and engaging service for their special day.

Although the glorious sunshine only lasted for about 15 minutes after the ceremony ended and torrential downpours stopped play for the traditional groups shots outside Brockencote, the venue is spacious enough to accommodate large indoor groups and the staff were fabulously efficient at turning around the beautifully furnished reception hall into a useable space to set up photographs and then back again!

With the speeches over, the weather was kinder and so we slipped away to get some couple shots using the last of the evening light before the dance floor was filled with Dan's family having a good old knees up.

The video montage (basically similar to the photography slideshow but better (or so he says)) is available via Phil's vimeo page or look him up on Facebook

Because the auto HD option reduces quality, when viewing the slideshow please select the 720 option from the dropdown menu at the bottom right of the viewing screen.  Enjoy!
